About & Contact

My poetry, fiction, essays, interviews, and reviews have appeared in a variety of online and print publications, including Mothering Magazine, The We'Moon Anthology: Love, SageWoman Magazine, LiteraryMama, Mamazine.com, MomWriter's Literary Magazine, MotherVerse Magazine, The Apple Valley Review, Flashquake, Modern Creative Life and many others.  I've been teaching writing at the college level since 2000, and have facilitated creative writing workshops in elementary schools, high schools, prisons, and private organizations.

In 2008, I won a state grant as an Emerging Artist in Fiction via the Delaware Division of the Arts and gave public readings and performances of poetry, personal essay, and fiction at a series of local venues.  I earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College in 2013.  My novella, Charitable Murderer, topped the shortlist for the Dzanc Book Prize in 2019. My current project is a novel about mothers and daughters, Irish myth, and a family curse just waiting to be broken.

When I am  not writing or teaching, I am reading: books--and tarot cards, which I have been working with personally and professionally for over twenty years. I live in a house full of pets, dreams, and tumbledown stacks of books tucked away in every corner.
