For me, the main goals of this course are to generate lively discussion, write critical responses, begin working effectively with texts, and to explore materials via analysis and evaluation. For many of my students, this is the final English course of the academic program. So, what does that mean? What are the things any professional would need to know to communicate clearly and with mastery and meaning? How does writing, public speaking, and clear thinking impact career trajectories and vocational paths?  What final elements do we need as writers and lifelong learners?  In Composition, we spend 15 weeks together answering these very questions.
